I have previously posted about this beautiful reptile. I recently had another encounter with a tiger at Nangara Reserve in Jindivick. It seemed a little odd to me for it was a dull, overcast and quite cold day.
Fungi species was my target and I’d found, on the side of the track, what I thought deserved a photo. I think they are Pholiota sp.
I was on my hands and knees for some shots good enough to take home and use for identification and from the corner of my eye, thought I saw some movement.
Like so many of my snake encounters, it had seen or sensed me before I saw it.
Wasn’t too far away. A close encounter but they are a ‘striking’ J animal.
